CREVE COEUR ~ Robin Jo Rawlings, 56, of Creve Coeur, passed away at 8:11 p.m. Saturday, November 13, 2021 at her home.

She was born on November 11, 1965 in Peoria to Richard Rawlings and Norma (Hagen) Hanley. Her father and one brother, Richard L. Rawlings preceded her in death.

Surviving are her mother of Bartonville; two children, Brandy Price and Shae Stone, both of Creve Coeur; three grandchildren, Anthony, Abrielle and Corey Stone and three sisters, Kandy (Kurt) Anderson of Dunlap, Rae (Randy) Friederich of Bartonville and Ragan (Jason) Elam of East Peoria.

Robin had worked as a waitress at Avanti’s for over 20 years and owned a daycare, Robin’s Nest, in Bartonville for around 10 years.

If you look up the meaning of sassy, there is sure to be a picture of Robin next to it. She was tough, ornery and had a dark sense of humor. She could make anyone laugh, even in the most inappropriate times. She was a fighter in so many ways and in so many situations. She was blunt and always spoke her mind. You never knew what would come out of her mouth next. She was a very loving mother and grandmother. You will always be in our hearts and the memories will be most cherished.

Her celebration of life will at 5 p.m. Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Dizzy Deans Sports Bar in Bartonville. Cremation rites have been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur.

Memorial contributions may be given to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Greater Illinois Chapter, P.O. Box 9206, Peoria, Illinois 61612.

My favorite memory of Robin was when I had a surprise birthday party for her 50th Birthday. She was so surprised and always had that beautiful smile on her face. I'll never forget you my dearest friend.
