

Born on April 7, 1946 in Peoria to Frank and Virginia Lucille (Thacker) Barber, she married Harold “Hank” Wayne Turner on September 4, 1965 in East Peoria. He died on September 28, 2001.
Also preceding her in death were her parents and dear grandson, Tyler Turner.
Sharon is survived by four children, Dawn (Steve) Peak of Groveland, Sherry (Ryan) Woodard of East Peoria, Nikki (Rich) Foley of Washington and Jeff (Tiffany) Turner of Robinson; seven grandchildren, Brandon (Tiphany) Woodard, Brody (Carlee) Woodard, Miranda (David) Sabotta, Megan (Ben Warren) Foley, Zachary (Peyton Clemons) Peak, Hannah Foley and Kash Turner; four great-grandchildren, Sadie, Isaac and Sophie Woodard and Elaina Sabotta, and one great-grandson on the way; one sister, Eileen Regentz of Creve Coeur and two brothers, Dave (Debby) Barber of Grove City, Ohio and Allen Barber of Creve Coeur.
She was a homemaker, spending time loving her family and anyone she met. Sharon was the life of the party, whether she was fishing, cooking, dancing or socializing with friends.
Sharon was a longtime member of Creve Coeur Christian Church.
Her visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon on Monday, September 16, 2024 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur with the funeral service immediately following. Sharon’s grandson, Brody Woodard, will officiate. Interment will take place at Fon du Lac Cemetery in East Peoria.
