Shirley was born on December 31, 1938 in Willow Springs, Missouri to Ralph Gilbert and Thelma Williamson, she married James McCallister. He passed away on November 21, 1986. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Karen McCallister and one sister, Evelyn Sue.
Surviving are one daughter, Regina Naugle of Marquette Heights; one grandson, Collin Poe of Marquette Heights, and her significant other of 38 years, Stephen Maas.
Shirley worked at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria as a patient transporter.
In her free time, she enjoyed being outdoors, especially using her time to go camping and fishing. She also loved spending time with her grandson.
A celebration of Shirley’s life will be held at a later date. Cremation has been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur.
