

Born September 20, 1929 in Pittsfield to Harry and Katherine (Yeager) Willard, she married Donald Eugene “Don” Givans in 1958 in Peoria. He died January 17, 2018 in Peoria. She also was preceded in death by her parents; a son-in-law, Jim Lamb and her sister, Barbara Wood.
Surviving are one son, Rick (Roberta “Bobbi”) Givans of East Peoria; one daughter, Bonnie Lamb of Pekin; five grandchildren, Whitney Givans of Los Angeles, California, Lacee (Sean) O’Shea of Deland, Florida, Scott (Angel) Lamb of Marquette Heights, Kellie (Todd) Short of North Pekin and Linda (Joe) Estes of Pekin; nine great-grandchildren, Jordan Folsom, Haylee Folsom, Morgan Baker, Ethan Baker, Noah Lamb, Karson Lamb, Matthew Short, Tristin Short and Erin Short; and two great-great-grandchildren, Braxton Folsom and Wyatt Folsom.
Wanda worked as a manager for a local real estate firm for 10 years, retiring in 1991.
She loved spending time with family. She enjoyed going camping, watching American Idol on television with her daughter and drinking her frozen Cokes. She also was fond of racing.
Her memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, July 28, 2023 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur. Pastor John Plunkett will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.
