

Anderson F. Branham 84, of Charleston, WV passed away on March 8, 2015 at Hubbard Hospice House surrounded by his family after a short battle with cancer. He was born on Oct. 24, 1930 in Boone Co, WV, a son of the late Andrew Jackson and Stella Larch Branham. Before moving to Kanawha County, he worked as a coal miner. He was also a mechanic at Park Pontiac and a truck driver for Guarantee Storage of Dunbar. He retired from the Kanawha County Board of Education after 30 years of service. He was a car show fan and lifetime builder of antique vehicles. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Tiney L. Branham; three brothers; and four sisters. He is survived by his daughter, Bobbi Jean Branham and her companion, David “Booney” Adkins; five sons, Sherman “Eddie” (Lucille) Adkins of Charleston, WV, David (Debbie) Branham of Charleston, Darrell Branham (Jennifer Temple) of Hillsboro, OH, John (Tonya) Branham of Charleston, and Ricky (Tammy) Branham of Poca; daughter-in-law, Wanda Jarrett Branham of Cross Lanes; fourteen grandchildren, David Wells (daughters, Emileigh and Kolton), Stacy (Mindy) Branham, Peggy “Peggaboo” (Danny) Beckner, Sarah Jane (Andy) Smith, Jason (Lesley) Adkins, Jeremy (Jenn) Adkins, Daniel (Andrea) Branham, Travis (Jessica) Branham, Amber (Zack) Jones, Brandi “Sissy Girl” (J.J.) Jones, Brandon “Bub” (Arin) Adkins, Jessica Branham (daughter, Sophia), Shawn McCoy, and Tony McCoy; seventeen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Thursday at 1 pm at Tyler Mountain Funeral Home, 5233 Rocky Fork Rd., Cross Lanes, WV with burial to follow at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.
