

Barbara Billups Day, 79, of St. Albans, passed away peacefully March 18, 2017, at St. Mary's Hospital with her family by her side. She was born October 9, 1937, in St. Albans, the daughter of Raymond and Anna Mae Clark Billups. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra "Sandy" Day, and brother, Richard Billups. Barbara was a 1955 graduate of St. Albans High School. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend to many. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, James "Jim", daughter, Pam Day of St. Albans, sisters, Martha Jane Boone (Paul) and Joan Paul, all of Hurricane; brother, Douglas Billups (Janet) of Tornado; special nieces, Paula Sue Boone of Woodstock, Ga., and Anna Jane Boone of St. Albans; sisters-in-law, Mary Hamilton, of Dayton, Ohio, and Viola McCarthy of Arizona; and a host of close friends and relatives; nieces and nephews, Debbie Williams, of Evansville, IN, Karen Carter, of Lake Arrowhead, CA, Sharon Patti, of Morgantown, nephews, Reggie Billups, of St. Albans, Brent Billups, of Buffalo, plus several other nieces, nephews, and great and great great nieces and nephews Celebration of Barbara's life will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 22, at Casdorph & Curry Funeral Home. Immediately following the service, she will be laid to rest beside of her beloved daughter, Sandy, in Cunningham Memorial Park. Gathering of family and friends will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.
