She was born December 7, 1942 in Charleston, the daughter of Howard and Reba Sheltz Sprouse. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husband William, her siblings, Pearl, Bumpy, Buddy, Tubby, and Catherine.
Betty retired from the Kanawha County Board of Education, formerly employed at the airport. She was a member of the Eagles Club. A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend that will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her boys Sonny, Calvin, Robert, Lawrence Haynes and John Nesselrotte, 9 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Betty’s life will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at Tyler Mt. Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.
Gathering of family and friends will be from 1 until time of service at the funeral home.
