Bobby Alan Lawson

Bobby Alan Lawson, 53 of Charleston West Virginia, passed away on April 9,, 2025, in his hometown. Born on December 1, 1971, in Charleston, Bobby spent his life deeply connected to the community that shaped him. A devoted father and family man, Bobby dedicated himself to raising and supporting his children.

He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Pamela Lawson of Charleston; his sons Robert Alexander Lawson of Charleston, and Brandon Lawson of Charleston. He also leaves behind his sister, Sheryl (Eddie) Harmon of Charleston, his brother Ernest (Maxine) Lawson of Robbinsville NC, nieces Tia Harmon, Mindy (Austin) Warren all of Charleston; as well as many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins who held a special place in his heart.

Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Robert Cleveland Lawson of Charleston.

He found joy in life’s simple pleasures, fishing with family, holidays with family, visiting amusement parks, hunting in the West Virginia woods, and tending his garden. These activities were more than hobbies for Bobby, they were cherished moments that allowed him to connect with those he loved and create lasting memories.

One of the greatest joys he looked forward to was welcoming his first grandson, Xander Thomas Lawson, a new chapter he eagerly anticipated.

Those who knew Bobby will remember him for the love he gave freely, and the warmth and laughter he brought into every room. His presence offered strength and comfort to those around him.

The family wishes to express deep appreciation and gratitude to all of the family, friends, and colleagues for the tremendous outpouring of love and support during this very difficult time.

May Bobby’s memory bring peace and comfort to all who knew and loved him.

Celebration of Bobby’s life will be at 7:00 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2025, at Tyler Mountain Funeral Home with Celebrant HR Whittington presiding.

Gathering of family and friends will be from 6:00pm until time of service at the funeral home.
