Bret was born November 5, 1969 in Charleston to Bobbie Lee and Clara Jean Harbert Caldwell. He graduated from Nitro High School class of 1988. Bret was a retired Lieutenant with the Charleston Fire Department. He especially enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson, and spending time with his son, Braden Lee.
Preceded in death by his father, Bobbie Lee; paternal grandparents, John and Lucy Caldwell; maternal grandfather, William P. Harbert; uncle, Keith Oxley; aunt, Barbara Sue Caldwell Phillips; and a cousin, Mark Harbert.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Melissa Casto Caldwell; son, Braden Lee Caldwell; mother, Clara Jean Harbert Caldwell; grandmother, Francis Harbert; aunts, Carolyn Harbert, Betty Jo Oxley, and Linda Baldwin (Glen); several loving cousins, and other extended family; and a host of friends.
Private Funeral service will be 1:00pm Friday, April 27, 2018 at Tyler Mountain Funeral Home, 5233 Rocky Fork Road, Cross Lanes, WV 25313 with Pastor Scott Casto officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
