He is survived by his father, Carl Jones, sisters Deborah Pauley (John) & Cynthia Moore (Bobby), nieces Angela Tracy, Jennifer Boyd (Tom), and nephew Jonathan Pauley (Candice) and several great nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Phyllis Jones.
Brian enjoyed working at Pile Hardware until his health declined and he was forced to retire after fifteen years of service. He had many friends there and was recognized by someone everywhere he went. Special thanks to Bill & Sandy Pile for their love and dedication to Brian. They are truly “Angels Among Us” and we will be forever grateful for their kindness and generosity.
Although Brian was born with several health issues, he didn’t let them stop him from enjoying life. He liked to dance, listen to 60’s music, and attend yearly concerts at Summerfest in South Charleston WV. He won numerous awards and gold medals in Special Olympics and was one of the first disabled Eagle Scouts in WV. Brian enjoyed traveling, staying in motels, and eating out more than anything.
Brian was a member of Grace Nazarene Church and loved making Shoeboxes each Christmas for Samaritans Purse. He was a graduate of Owens School and participated in numerous extracurricular activities.
He was loved dearly by his sisters who provided years of loving care and fun for him after the death of his Mother.
We want to thank his caregivers LuAnn & Alyssa, family friends John & Kim Coleman, and Pastor Phillip Lanz for their love and kindness.
A celebration of Brian’s life will be held Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at Tyler Mountain Funeral Home with Pastor Phillip Lanz officiating. Visitation begins at 1:00pm followed by the service at 2:00pm and interment in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.
