Butch was a man who knew no stranger, trust us, we’ve been in the car many of the times when he would stop to help someone stranded on the side of the road. He was a man of integrity, honor, and his devotion to his family and friends set the example for others to emulate.
Butch was a teacher, coach, and mentor to all who needed it. He consistently demonstrated the importance of hard work to his siblings, his children, his grandchildren, and anyone who was blessed to interact with him. He worked on projects across the valley and beyond, improving the community, but it was his work as the patriarch of his loving family that will be his lasting legacy.
His devotion to family is displayed across the four generations that remain to carry on what he has taught in his words, actions, and deeds.
Butch retired as a laborer from the LIUNA Union Hall 1353 after 28 years of dedicated service, which he followed up as the owner of Butch’s Used Appliances and Service.
Friends are invited to join his family for a celebration of Butch's life on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at Tyler Mountain Funeral Home. Viewing will commence at 1pm, followed immediately by a memorial service at 2pm with Rev. Ruth Anne DeLong presiding.
