

Charlotte was born February 16, 1935, in Hammond, Indiana, and retired from Goodwin and Goodwin at the age of 84.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond C. Stommel, her parents, Hector and Johanna Masse, and sisters Grace (Merritt) Kinsman; Josephine (Bob) McClean; Jeanette (Jerry) Gibbs; and Ruth (Donald) Vergin. She is survived by her children, Jennifer (Dan) Love of Ontario, Canada; Tim (Tawnya) Stommel of Charlotte, NC; Joanna (David) Fletcher of Indian Trail, NC; Jayme (Michael) Bumgarner of So. Charleston, WV; Todd Stommel of Cincinnati, OH; and Joette (David) Parker of Monroe, NC. Charlotte is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Brett and Ashleigh Syer of Ontario, Canada; Courtney and Elijah Fletcher of Indian Trail, NC; Justin (Lakin) of Cross Lanes, WV, Jacob (Madelyn) of Plainsboro, NJ, and Ryan Bumgarner of Milwaukee, WI; Gretchen Stommel of Cincinnati, OH; and Katy, Sam, and Will Parker of Monroe, NC.
Friends may visit with the family from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM Friday, July 5, 2024, at Tyler Mountain Funeral Home, 5233 Rocky Fork Rd. Cross Lanes, WV. A private family service will be held after the visitation.
The family deeply thanks the nurses and all the staff at Arthur B. Hodges, with a special thank you to Kathy, Jarrod, Vicky, and Selena. The family also deeply thanks Hospice Care, with a special thank you to Mary, for their care and comfort.
