OBITUARY

Mrs. Claudia Fisher

May 17, 1958May 23, 2021

Claudia “Bod” Rae Fisher went home to meet up with her beloved Dana on May 23, 2021. She received exceptional care and died peacefully in the Holzer Hospital/Hospice in Gallipolis, OH at the age of 63. She went to Nitro High School and lived in Cross Lanes.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dana F. Fisher of Cross Lanes, WV; Her father and mother, Harry Anthony Hechesky and Doris Jewel Hechesky of Cross Lanes.

Claudia is survived by her brothers who loved her very much, Harry Hechesky (Cindy) from St. Albans, WV, and Chris Hechesky (Janice) from Irmo, SC; Nephew Joshua Hechesky (Grace and Baby Girl H) from Cayce, SC.

We could not name all of you, but know this, she adored all her friends, step nieces & nephews, cousins, and the Fruth family. She was a true blue & gold WVU fan and loved her green 18 Bobby LaBonte. The love of bowling brought the best out of our sister. She was the best sister and will be deeply missed.

There will be a small intimate graveside service for the immediate family.

Claudia and I have been great friends since high school. We were also neighbors. We had a blast together hanging out. After we both were married, we ended up living across the street from each other in Cross Lanes. After I moved to SC, we stayed in touch and saw each other when she made trips to the beach. She was a great friend and made me laugh. She was always so cheerful and loved to laugh. I will miss her terribly.

God bless you all. There is no one more kind or loving than Claudia. She was truly a giving soul. I was blessed to call her my friend. My husband and I got to know Claudia when Dana was sick. She loved Dana, Her pups, racing, bowling and her job. May she rest in God’s loving arms and with Dana.

Dear Family, I am so sorry to learn of Claudia’s passing. I met Claudia when I worked at Fruth with Doris. I would see her from time to time after Doris passed and we would talk and talk! She was one of a kind. Keeping your family in my thoughts and prayers.

It's hard to understand why people are taken from us so soon but we find comfort in knowing she was a special part of our lives. Claudia, Doris and I bowled for over 20 years together. What fun we had at T&C and state tournaments. She was a great friend and I know how much she will be missed. Claudia, may you rest in peace. Love and prayers to her family!

I've known Claudia since our days in Junior bowling at Town & Country Lanes, as well as the Nitro High School Band. I always was fond of "Hike," as I nicknamed her. She was a good friend and a wonderful woman. She's going to be missed. The next time I hear a rumble of thunder, I may be curious as to whether or not she's warming up in God's bowling alley! RIP, my dear friend!

What a truly special friend she was....we spent time together at several Bobby LaBonte fan club outings and a few WVU football games....and those bowling years were so much fun! I have missed our fun times but will always remember her laugh and her excitement when she got her brand new blue Camaro! I’m so sorry for you, her family losing someone so very special! She’s with her beloved Dana now... and that’s so fitting! RIP sweet friend!

Where to begin, I worked with Claudia at TnC lanes for many years and ran around alot together. She and her husband Dana cosign a loan for a waterbed for me back when just
I was starting out. Claudia was always up for fun and adventure, my heart is broken, but I know she is flying with Dana. R.I.P my friend. Love Leslie
