Doris Marie Martin Miller so peacefully stepped out of time and stepped in eternity to rest with Jesus. She was so graciously born on April 2, 1930, and with dignity and peace passed away at her home that she loved with her children by her side. She was the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Clennie and Alice Martin. She was the sister of five brothers and sisters who all predeceased her, Mildred Rachel Martin, Francine Virginia Martin Britton, Eliza Gwendolia Martin Dorsey, Vernon Austin Martin and Donald Dean Martin.
She was a member of Kelly’s Creek Independent Baptist Church. She had a personal relationship with her savior Jesus Christ from her youthful age of 13.
She was the loving wife of the late Harold Wayne Miller. She is survived by her three children which she loved dearly until her passing Sandra Gail Miller Haynes and husband Nelson Eddy Haynes of Oak Island, NC, Steven Harold Miller and wife Loretta Sue Taylor Miller of Charleston, and Stanley David Miller and his wife Lisa K. Lambert Miller, of Daytona Beach, FL. She will also be sadly missed by her 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. She will be greatly missed and loved by all who knew her.
Celebration of Doris’s life will be 12:00 P.M. Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Tyler Mt. Funeral Home with Pastor Donnie Kiser officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mt. Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
Gathering of family and friends will be from 6 to 8 PM Friday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday.
