Dorothy Ann Grant, 84, of Dunbar, WV, passed away Oct. 22, 2014 at Genesis Health Care in Dunbar. She was born Jan. 22, 1930 in New Haven, CT, the daughter of the late William John and Margaret Reynolds Birmingham. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Herman R. Freeman. She is survived by two sons, William J. Grant of Dunbar and Keith Grant of Rock Hill, SC; one daughter, Abbie Grant of Orgas, WV; one grandson, Leon Lang of Dalzell, SC; and three great-grandchildren. She loved her family, friends, and neighbors and will be greatly missed by all. The family wished to extend a special “thank you” to Genesis Healthcare for all of their care and compassion. Services will at held at 1pm on Monday at Tyler Mountain Funeral Home, 5233 Rocky Fork Road, Cross Lanes, WV with Pastor Marvin Ferrell officiating. Interment will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held on Monday from 11:00am until the time of service.
