Dorothy S. Wilkinson

Dorothy Simms Wilkinson 1924-2015 Dorothy S. Wilkinson passed away peacefully on April 20, 2015. Dotty was born on March 20, 1924 in Scott Depot, WV, the daughter of Verba and Russell Simms. She grew up in Hurricane, enjoying family and friends, graduating from Hurricane High School. She retired from Union Carbide and was active in the Ladies Auxiliary to the NALC. She was a kind and devoted member of Highlawn Baptist Church in St. Albans for many years. Her husband of 51 years, Robert E. Wilkinson, passed away April 21, 2001. Dotty and Ellis were a devoted, loving couple through all those years enjoying life, their dogs, and especially traveling and camping with their many friends. Dotty was also preceded in death by her brother Robert Simms and her sister Kathryn S. Foster. A favorite aunt, she will be painfully missed and her memory cherished by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Her family greatly appreciates the special loving care provided by Sweet Briar in Dunbar. Visitation will be held at Casdorph & Curry Funeral Home, St Albans, WV from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 23. A service will be held at Casdorph & Curry Funeral Home Chapel, St. Albans on April 24 at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Woodmere Cemetery, Huntington, WV. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of your choice in her memory.
