Dortha was born on January 23, 1932 in Holley, WV to William Butcher and Lillie Wilmoth. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Christina Mick, great grand-daughter, Alyssia Hill, siblings, Delbert, Delva, Doris, and Delmer,
She graduated from Clendenin High School in 1951. Dortha enjoyed reading, cross stitching, and baking her famous Christmas cookies.
She is survived by children Lynette and Joe Hill and Rodney and Sherry Mick grandchildren Mark Hill, Derek Hill, and Danielle and Aaron Souza, great grandchildren Destinee and Greg Damon, Mikala Hill, Mariah and Nic Poirier, Logan Block, Morgan Prine, and Abigail Souza and great-great grandchildren Paisley Poirer, Jordan Sexton, and Declan Damon.
A Celebration of life service will be held at Valley Christian Assembly (Charleston, WV) on October 22, 2022 at 1:00pm officiated by Pastor Philip Dunn.
It was Dortha’s request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Valley Christian Assembly
