Edward D. Nelson, Jr., of Cross Lanes, West Virginia, passed away on June 25, 2025. Ed was born in New Haven, Connecticut, on August 12, 1965, but lived most of his childhood on Williams Mountain in Boone County, West Virginia. Ed worked for most of his career for the W. V. State Office of Technology, and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Edward D. Nelson and Judy Ann Moss Nelson, as well as his sister, Lisa Nelson Vannoy. He is survived by his brother, Ronnie Lee Nelson, as well as his two sons, Matthew E. Nelson and Mark A. Nelson, his daughter-in-law Kelsey O'Brien, his granddaughter, Charlotte Maeve O'Brien Nelson, and many members of his extended family.
Celebration of Edward’s life will be 7:00 P.M. Monday, June 30, 2025 at Tyler Mt. Funeral Home with his uncle Rev. Larry Nelson officiating.
Gathering of family and friends will be from 5 until time of service at the funeral home.
