

Ella Gray Hancock, 85, a loving wife and kind, sweet mother to all, passed away at home on April 18, 2016. She was the daughter of the late George Washington Payne and Ida Gladwell Payne of Trout, WV. She is survived by her brother, Albert Payne of Ansted; her three sons, James (Kay) and Hubert of Cross Lanes, WV, and Gary (Rosalinda) of Carrollton, TX; seven grandchildren, Kimberly (Jeff) Campbell, Brian, Matthew, James, Seth, Gregory, and Nathaniel; and five great-grandchildren, Katie, Kayce, Jeffrey, Maddox, and Andrew. She now rejoices with her parents, her beloved husband James, her sister Delsie Nicley, her brothers John "Dorsey", Roy, Gilbert, Ray and Hubert; and her granddaughter, Gabriella, in heaven. A viewing will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016, at Twin City Bible Church, 100 1st Ave., Nitro, WV, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. immediately followed by a celebratory service presided by Pastors Scott Bandy, Bill Egerdahl, and Ray Witmer, III. Burial will follow at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes, WV. A devoted Christian, she requested that donations be made to Twin City Bible Church in lieu of flowers.
