

she was preceded in death by her parents, her twelve siblings, her husband and the father of her children, Ralph Farley, her husband, Charles Russell Walker, her son, Ralph (Ricky) Farley and her great granddaughter, Vada Barker.
She leaves behind her sons, Philip Farley (Rose Ann) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Billy Dunlap of Belle, daughter, Gwen Hamilton (Ralph) of Nitro; grandchildren Penny Coupal, Shawn Farley, Philip Farley II, Jerri Beth Armstrong, Stacey Hensley, ten great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
Genoa will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Genoa was a member of the Scary Creek Church of God and later in life the Teays Valley Church of the Nazarene.
In addition to raising her children in Powellton, she later worked on the AEP tow boats as a cook and helped run a farm in Scott Depot. She loved her flowers, raising her poodles and cooking for her family.
Celebration of Genoa’s life will begin at 1 pm on Saturday, September 19 at the Tyler Mountain Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Tyler Mt. Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
Gathering of friends will be from noon until time of service at the funeral home.
