Glen Dean was born in Charleston on April 3, 1934 in Charleston, the son of Hubert and Leona Clark Cecil whom preceded him in death.
Glen’s lifelong love was Bluegrass music. He had several bands during his life. He met his best friend Early Vermillion and found his passion making mandolins. He built 95 mandolins over 35 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Elenore, son, Dean, two brothers, Hubert (Ardena) and Lyle (Rosemary) and his little sister Marilyn.
Celebration of Glen’s life will be 12:00 P.M. Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Tyler Mt. Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Young officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mt. Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
Gathering of family and friends will be from 11 until time of service at the funeral home.
