He was born on August 22, 1954, in Spencer the son of Virginia “Ginny” Hoskin Greathouse and the late Ernest Laken Greathouse. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his siblings Michael and Julie Greathouse.
In addition to his mother he is survived by nephews Christopher Greathouse, Scott Greathouse (Rose), sister-in-law Ann Taylor, aunts, uncles, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Greg graduated from Sissonville High School and West Virginia University. He retired from the Turnpike Division after 32 years of dedicated service. A devoted WVU fan, Greg took great pride in his Mountaineers. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Graveside service will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Eventide Cemetery, Spencer with Rev. Sarah Lamb, Rev. Richard Hoskin and Rev. Larry Greathouse will be speaking.
