He was born on August 22, 1954, in Spencer the son of Virginia “Ginny” Haskin Greathouse and the late Ernest Laken Greathouse. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his siblings Michael and Julie Greathouse.
In addition to his mother he is survived by nephews Christopher Greathouse, Scott Greathouse (Rose), sister-in-law Ann Taylor, aunts, uncles, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Greg graduated from Sissonville High School, attended WVU University and retired from Turnpike Division after 32 years of service. He was an avid WVU fan. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Graveside service will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Eventide Cemetery, Spencer with Pastor Sarah Lamb, Rev. Richard Haskin and Larry Greathouse will be speaking.
