She was born February 18, 1931 in Dunbar, the daughter of Vinton L. and Roxie E. Walker. In addition to her parents he was preceded in death by her brother, Robert L. Walker.
She loved to travel and was an avid cat lover. She spent her final years at her childhood home in St. Albans.
She is survived by son, Richard A. Hoffman (Dawn), of Manassas, VA, grandchildren, Richard A. Hoffman, Jr. (Stacy), of Stafford, VA, Angela E. Hoffman, of Manassas, VA, Erin M. Hoffman, of St. Albans, who was also her caregiver, great grandson, Clay Hoffman, of Ocean View, DE, brothers, Quinton L. Walker (Jean), of Front Royal, VA, and Michael L. Walker (Carol), of Floyd, VA.
Celebration of Gwendolyn’s life will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 9, 2018 at Casdorph & Curry Funeral Home with Pastor Keith Torman officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.
Gathering family and friends will be Monday from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
