Helen was born May 15, 1926 to the late Holley and Glenna (Aleshire) Ellis. She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Shelby O’Dell Smith, son Larry Rodrick Smith and sister Virginia McNeal Bell.
Surviving are 3 grandchildren Anita (Rick) Hinzman of Sandyville, Nicole (Jason) Ringler of Lucernernines, PA, and William (Tammy) Smith of Martinsburg, great - grandchildren, Brandon, (Cyerra) Hinzman, Justin (Lauren) Hinzman, Kelli Hinzman and her fiance Ronnie Mullins all of Ripley, Robert Smith of Martinsburg, Camden and Zayne Ringler of Martinsburg, 3 great - great - grandchildren, Kynlee, Coen, and Noah Hinzman; and daughter in law Brenda Smith.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses that helped take great care of her.
A celebration of Helen's life will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at Casdorph & Curry Funeral Home, St. Albans, with Pastor Tim Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.
A gathering of family and friends will begin at 12 p.m. until the time of service.
