Hilda Isabella Lilly

Miss Hilda Lilly, 93, of Charleston, passed away March 28, 2026 at Arthur B. Hodges Memory Center. Hilda was born in Charleston on December 26, 1932 in Charleston, to the late Nellie Ora Harkins Lilly and Herman F. Lilly.

She graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School and was retired from C&P Telephone Company with over 30 years service. She was a member of the Telecom Pioneers. Hilda was a Christian. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her by sister and best friend Retha Lilly, brothers, Owen Arlis Lilly, Alva Lee Lilly, Curtis “Glen” Lilly, and Robert “Mack” Lilly.

Surviving are her sisters-in-law, Peggy Lilly, Sara Lilly, and Carolyn Lilly, all of Charleston; several special nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephew; and several cousins.

Celebration of Hilda’s life will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, April 2, 2026 at Tyler Mt. Funeral Home with Minister Cheryl Ford officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mt. Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes. Gathering of family and friends will be from noon until time of service at the funeral home.
