Jimmy was born May 26, 1965 in Charleston to Sandra Faye Whittington Adkins and to the late James Moses “Mose” Adkins.
In addition to his father, Jimmy was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Ellie Jo Terry.
Jimmy attended Winfield High School, and was a truck driver with Raines and Son Excavation.
Left to cherish his memory are loving mother, Sandra Faye Whittington Adkins of Scott Depot; daughter, Chelsey Terry of Scott Depot; grandchildren, McKenna Bryce Terry and Marshall Maddox Banner Terry; brothers, Natchie Edwin Adkins (Lisa) of Richmond, Virginia and Forrest Allen Adkins (Tammy) of North Carolina; sisters, Jonel Pullen (Terry) of Barboursville and Libby Johnson (Greg) of Hamlin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Service will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Tyler Mountain Funeral Home, 5233 Rocky Fork Road, Cross Lanes with Pastors Melissa Pratt and David Bowen officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
A gathering of family and friends will begin at 1:00 P.M Wednesday until service time, at the funeral home.
