James Gregory Stewart

Preceded in death are his parents Roy and Beth Stewart, Uncle Ronald Lyons, bonus daughter Courtney Kessinger.

He is survived by his loving wife Estela Stewart of Ironton Ohio, son Jieggo Andra, daughters Autumn McCallister (Robert) of Tornado, WV, Amy Stewart and Lori Combs (Cory) of Raleigh NC, and bonus daughter Lindsey Payne (Daniel) of Poca, WV. Grandchildren Zach, Jacob, Madaline, Gwendolyn, Annalise, and Rydell, a host of cousins, and bonus family.

James graduated from George Washington High School in WV in 1969. He served for our country in the US Air Force, worked for Columbia Gas Transmission for over 20 years. Working with computers was his favorite job. His hobbies were playing guitar and playing pool,but most of all being a father and grandfather. He also kept a keen eye on world affairs.

During 2015-2018 he lived in the Philippines with his wife. He helped so many families and even helped others learn how to play pool.

He was ever mindful of his relationship with our Lord and savior, seeking the opportunity to witness and share with others.

He will be deeply missed all over the world.

Celebration of James’s life will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at Tyler Mt. Funeral Home. Burial will Follow in Tyler Mt. Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes, with Military Graveside Rites conducted by St Albans VFW Post 6418 and American Legion Post 73.

Gathering of family and friends will be from 11 until time of service at the funeral home.
