James Wade

He was born April 23, 1960, in Parkersburg, the son of James and Corinne Wharton Wade. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Christopher Wade.

James retired from WV Transportation with over 35 years of service. He was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan. A loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend that will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years Kim, son Daniel Wade, daughter Courtney Smith (Billy), granddaughter Peyton Smith, sister Lori Roberts (Keith), mother in law Sue Fraser, sister in law Julie Wygal, nieces Alyssa Young (Val), Gwen Duncan (Josiah), Grace Wygal, nephew Josh Roberts (Hannah), great nephews Noah, Micah, Arthur, great niece Eden, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Jame’s life will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at Tyler Mt. Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Tyler Mt. Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.

Gathering of family and friends will be from noon until time of service at the funeral home.
