He was born September 12, 1946 in South Charleston, the son of Sidney and Thelma Wilson Turley. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, John Turley, brother in law, Averol Cavender, and faithful k-9 companion, Chloe.
Jerry was a medic in the US Army having served in the Vietnam Conflict. He was a self-employed carpet and tile layer. Jerry enjoyed working with his hands and could build or fix anything. A loving brother, uncle and friend that will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his brother, Paul Turley (Sarah), sisters, Sydna Cavender, Linda Ledford (Dennis), and Sherry Haynes (Bill), all of St. Albans, several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Celebration of Jerry’s life will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, March 5, 2018 at Casdorph & Curry Home with Pastors Scott Haynes and Mark Turley officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans with Military Graveside Rites to be conducted by St. Albans VFW Post 6418 and American Legion Post 73.
Gathering of family and friends will be from Sunday from 2 to 4 at the funeral home.
