

Jessie Lee Raynes, 82 of Nitro went home to be with the Lord on, Sunday, March 22nd 2015, after a long illness at home, surrounded by family, friends, and neighbors. She was born January 20,1933 in Kanawha County, the daughter of the late Willis G. Via and Ora Lee Wheeler Via. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Ernest, Guilford, Lawrence, and George Thomas Via; one sister, Adilene Elmore; grandson Richard Rinehart II ; granddaughter Linsy Gillenwater. She was a housewife and a helping hand to those in need in the community. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Charles S. Raynes of Nitro; one son, three daughters and son-in-laws. Donald Raynes of Charleston Teresa and Michael Miller of Cross Lanes, Susan and John Gillenwater of Nitro, Kimberly (Darlene) and Michael of Dunbar; one sister, Clara Ann Sigmon of Alameda, Calif; eight grandchildren, Mary Lee and Steve Black, Donald Ruhl, Deahanna Raynes, Amber Rinehart, Jessie Jo and David Thompson, Lacy and Adam Stroud, Michaela Blizzard, and Sammy Blizzard; four great-grand children, Chelsea Black, Jenna Jo Thompson Isaac Thompson, and Richard Rinehart III; a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews; extended family and friends. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 25th, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Tyler Mountain Funeral Home 5233 Rocky Fork Rd. Cross Lanes WV 25313 with Pastor Rob Van Fossen officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00pm until service time. Interment will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice Care, 1606 Kanawha Blvd. West, Charleston, WV 25387-2536.
