John Edward Clark Sr.

John (johnny) Edward Clark, Sr., 78 years old of Tyler Mountain passed away in Genesis Rehabilitation Center in Dunbar where he had many, many employees as friends which he enjoyed talking with. He was born at Hernshaw, WV on January 13, 1948.

He graduated from Charleston High School in 1965 and attended computer school in Baltimore, Maryland. He worked many years as a computer operator and later worked at Union Carbide in South Charleston, also doing computer work until his retirement.

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Carol and John Clark and grandparents, Rosa and Ross Howell. He was also preceded in death by his brothers Delmar (Bud) and James (Big Jim) Clark and sisters Joyce Salisbury and Nancy Francisco.

Johnny is survived by his son, John E. Clark, Jr. and wife Tawna Clark of Nitro, grandson Brendan Clark of Nitro, granddaughters Bailee and Ashley Clark of Nitro. He is also survived by a brother Donald Clark and wife Terri of Poca, Sisters Betty Baxter of St. Albans and Ruby Shaffer of Nitro as well as many cousins, nephews, and nieces who will miss him.

Visitation and funeral services will be held at Tyler Mountain Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation for friends and family is at 12:00 PM and funeral services are at 1:00 PM on Monday, September 14, 2026 with Pastor Dave McCormick officiating with burial in Tyler Mountain Memory Garden.
