

John William “Bill” Mullins, 90, of St. Albans, passed away June 8, 2016 at home. He was born in St. Albans, March 10, 1926, the son of the late Hoy C. Mullins and Virginia G. (Taylor) Mullins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois C. (Carter) Mullins and sister, Beulah Turley. Bill is survived by sister, Doris (Bob) Cottrel of Scott Depot; daughters, Patty (Larry) Lilly of Columbus, Ohio and Connie (Dick) Kinder of Procious, WV; sons, Mike (Carolyn) Mullins of Milton and David Mullins (David Buckner) of Columbus, Ohio. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. Bill was a World War II 329th infantry 83rd division Army veteran and was a member of the VFW, American Legion and St. Albans Moose. He retired from Union Carbide in 1988 after being a chemical operator for over 45 years. He loved to hunt, fish, camp, drag race, cruise and spend time at Myrtle Beach. Of all the things he loved, Bill loved his wife of 27 years and children more than anything. A celebration of Bill’s life will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Casdorph & Curry Funeral Home, 110 B Street, St. Albans with Dr. Larry McCallister, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans with full military rights. A gathering of family and friends will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Special thanks goes to Dr. John Panugupati and Hospice nurses Tammy and Holly for care during his final days.
