He was born July 11, 1945 in Beckley, the son of Joseph H. and Rozella Lawson Loggins. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers Roy and Ray Lilly.
Joseph was a retired police officer employed with Metropolitan Police Department, Washington D.C. He was also a US Marine and Naval Reservist and a member of Mt. Caramel Masonic Lodge, Warrenton Virginia.
He is survived by his wife, Caroline Abbott, children, Jody Sutphin (Ron), Richard Jones (Donna), Sue Stewardson, and grandchildren Melanie Sutphin, Tyler Sutphin, Stepfanie Hall (Jonathan), Joseph Gahagen (Ashley) and Grace Sweeney (Rob), great grandchildren, Caralynne, Christian, Emma, and Hendrix, and brother, Roger Loggins.
Graveside Service will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Tyler Mt. Funeral Home.
