Born in Charleston, WV, to John and Betty Bishop, Karen was a 1968 graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School. She spent much of her career as an administrative assistant at Charleston National Bank, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic.
Karen was a kind and generous soul who deeply loved her family and friends. An accomplished seamstress, she had a tasteful eye for decorating. She also had a great sense of humor, a love for crossword puzzles, and an unwavering devotion to her grandchildren, whom she cherished above all else. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.
She is survived by her loving partner, Lionel Payne; her son, Chad Clark (Kelly); her sister, Nancy Jennings (Bruce); her beloved grandchildren, Ryan and Katie Clark; and her nephew, Dan Jennings (Kate). She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Betty Bishop.
Memorial service will be held at a later date.
