He was born March 15, 1962 in Charleston, the son of Margaret and Frank Jones. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Keith Roy.
Marshall worked 17 years for the City of St Albans which he loved and cared for dearly. He was also proud to have worked and retired from McDonalds in St Albans for several years. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers, University of Michigan and Los Angeles Lakers fan.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Naomi, children, Marshall Roy, II, Chaz Roy, Jasmine, Sommer, Cierra, Christopher and Timothy " TJ" Brown, grandchildren, Alexander Briggs, Abbriel Briggs, Marshall "Trey" Roy, III, Harley Roy, Ayden Roy, Arianna Roy, Brad Flowers, Axl Thomas, Alexus Brown, Dakota Brown, and Christopher W. Brown, brothers, Norman Roy, William Holland, Frank Jones, and sisters, Jean Roy, and Yvonne Roy.
Celebration of Marshall’s life will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, December 23, 2022 at Tyler Mt. Funeral Home with Rev. Willie Washington officiating.
Gathering of family and friends will be from 11:30 till time of service at the funeral home.
