He was born on July 1, 1956 in Cleveland, OH where he was raised and spent much of his life before making West Virginia his home in later years.
He was preceded in death by his parents Janice and Lewis Fenn, his nephew, Jason Vandriver; and his brother in law Ernie Vandriver.
He is survived by his devoted wife of many years, Pamela, his faithful K-9 Blue, sisters Angela Garrett (Phil) and Sandra Vandriver, beloved daughter Parissia Campbell, his treasured granddaughters Taraji and TaTae Campbell who brought him endless joy. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins that loved him dearly.
Melvin loved sports both playing and watching. He was well known for his strong work ethic. He was a true workaholic, yet always found time to be a supportive husband, a caring father, and a proud grandfather. His kindness, determination and loyalty left a lasting impact on his family and friend.
Melvin will be deeply missed but remembered always with love and gratitude by those fortunate to have known him.
