Michael Douglas Carpenter

Mike was born in Charleston, May 8, 1946 to the late Clifford Carlton Carpenter and Gatha Faye Wines. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Barry Withrow.

Mike retired from Bayer Corporation, and his passions were motorcycles and Gravely tractors.

Left to cherish his memory are loving wife of 56 years, Joan Casdorph Carpenter; children, Kristi Burford (Benji), Lori Petry (Craig), Mikeal Withrow, and Doug Carpenter; the joys of his life, grandchildren, Shelby, Evan, Maddie, Peyton, Emma, Jake, Alex, Myka, Layla, and Lowan; siblings, Linda Haynes, Skip Carpenter, and Steve Carpenter; loving nieces and nephews, and a host of dear friends.

Mike’s greatest desire was that his family and friends would come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Being reunited with him in heaven.

A visitation for Family and Friends will begin at 2:00 p.m. preceding the Memorial service at 3:00 p.m.
