Michael Wayne Freeman

He was born November 26,1960 in Madison, the son of Mattie Johnson who preceded him in death. In addition to his mother he is preceded in death by his sister Donna Freeman, Nephew Joshua Freeman, sister in law Trisha Freeman and, many other family members and friends.

He is survived by his Sister Carol Freeman, two brothers Eddie and Jeff Freeman. Nieces Jessica Bowles, Staci McMicken. Nephews Jeremy Freeman, Aaron Freeman, Austin Freeman. Great niece Makayla White, Great Nephews Hunter Freeman, Conner Bowles, & a host of other family, friends, & coworkers.

Mike worked as a manager at Quaker Steak for many years. Michael, Known as Mike or Uncle Mike to everyone who knew him. Mike was like an uncle to everyone he met it didn’t matter who you were you were getting picked on by uncle mike. He was a hard worker, animal lover, funny and an avid Oakland Raiders fan. He loved to golf, fish, hunt, watch sports games and of course anyone who knew him knows he loved to shop for a new car. He was loved dearly by everyone who met him and will be deeply missed.

Celebration of Michael’s life will be Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at Tyler Mt. Funeral Home with Pastor Lyle McMicken officiating.

Gathering of family and friends will be from 5 until time of service at the funeral home.
