

He was born October 25, 1943, in Charleston, the son of the late Clarence and Hazel Coles.
Monty was the owner operator of Save Supply Company for many years. He was a private pilot flying out of Mallory Airport in South Charleston. Monty was a member of First Baptist Church in St. Albans. Monty loved life.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Carolyn, children, Christy Mynes Painter (Jerry), of Liberty,
David Coles (Kim), of Cross Lanes, Travis Coles (Tami), of Tornado, grandchildren, Nichole Greene-Jenkins (Josh), Devan Mynes, Zach Mynes, Jonathon Coles, Gabe Coles and Anna Coles, sister, Sue Ann Kellam (Tom), of Calhoun Co., faithful K9 companions Teddy and Bella, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Monty's life will be 1:00 pm Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Tyler Mt. Funeral Home with Pastor Joel Harpold officiating.
Gathering of family and friends will be from noon until time of the service.
There will be a banquet following the service at the funeral home and everyone is invited to stay and celebrate Monty's life with food, drinks and conversation.
