She was born to William “Merle” and Mildred Callison in Charleston, West Virginia on March 7, 1951. She lived an honest life and devoted her love to her family. She had three children, Jennifer, Michele and Michael, and one grandchild, Emily. Along with her son-in-law, Greg, and numerous nieces and nephews, she adored them all. Nila helped care for her parents until their passing and kept a close relationship with her sisters, Glenda Cooper and Rhonda Nichols, her whole life. She will be missed dearly.
Nila was a kind and generous woman who loved her animals almost as much as her family. She was a caretaker – human and feline alike, and it was a testament to her enormous heart. Every life mattered to her, which is a trait we should all aspire to embody.
A celebration of her life is scheduled for Saturday, March 22nd at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens on Rocky Fork Road in Cross Lanes, West Virginia. Visiting hours are from 5 – 6 PM with the service beginning at 6 PM.
