

She was born May 28, 1929 in Charleston the daughter of Clyde and Violet Fosburg. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by former husband and father of her children Leroy F. Rowley, her late husband Jules R. “Monty” Monin, and her first grandson Mark A. Rowley.
Opal retired from C & P Telephone Co. and was a Christian by faith. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She loved with her whole heart and will be forever missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her son and loving caretaker Brady A. Rowley with whom she resided, daughters Penny Rowley Cooley (Paul), of Jane Lew, and Donna Maroney (Pat), of Sissonville, stepdaughter Gina Villacorta (Roland), of FL.
Opal loved and was very proud of her grandchildren, Jason Robert, Andrew Michael and Polly Elaine Lambert, and Haley Dan, her great grandchildren Forest Rowley, Dustin and Josh Stuart, and JV Taylor.

Celebration of Opal’s life will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, March 23, 2026 at Tyler Mt. Funeral Home with Pastor Gene Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mt. Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
Gathering of family and friends will be from noon until time of service at the funeral home.
