Rosalie "Rosie" Rutledge, 89, of Tornado, passed away August 14, 2017, at Valley Health Center after a short illness. Rosie was born February 9, 1928, in Tornado, a daughter of Chuck and Garnet Jinks Templeton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mose Rutledge; sister, Betty Holton; and brother, Donald R. Templeton. She was a seamstress in Sissonville and a homemaker. She was also a member of Walker Chapel. Rosie is survived by her sister, Velma Sue McClain, of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; nephew and her caregiver, Kenny McClain; nieces, and special friends, Jack and Joan Dodrill. Celebration of Rosie's life will be 7 p.m. Thursday, August 17, at Casdorph & Curry Funeral Home. There will be a gathering of family and friends from 5 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Private family burial will take place at a later date.
