

She was born on March 25, 1949 in Kayford, the daughter of Rev. Kenneth and Iona Wilson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Lawson, her son Bobby Lawson, her brothers Bruce Wilson, Ted Wilson, and William “Bill” Wilson.
Pam was retired from Kanawha County Schools where she taught for many years, lastly at Central Elementary. She was a member of the Valley Christian Assembly Church. She lived in a peaceful home near Camp Virgil Tate. She was passionate about quilting for family, horses, canning, painting, and gardening.
All family and friends who knew her well would say she brought light, love, and laughter to every moment spent in her presence. She was an angel among those gifted by her love and warmth. She left lasting impacts on every student she taught and carried memories of her teaching career with her long after retiring.
She is survived by her children Ernest Lawson (Maxine), of NC, Sheryl Harmon (William), 13 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, sister Rosemary Pauley and brothers Jack and Terry Wilson, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Pam’s life will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, July 18, 2026, at All Nations Revival Center, 325 Academy Drive, Institute, WV, with Bishop Frederick Hightower officiating. Her burial will follow at Tyler Mt. Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
Gathering of family and friends will be from noon until the time of service at the church.
