

Pauline Thomas Harris Kitts, 88, of Salisbury, NC formerly from St. Albans and Cross Lanes, passed peacefully into eternity and the presence of her Savior on November 30 following a two year battle with Alzheimer’s. She was preceded in death by her parents Holley Gail Thomas and Sylvia Macel Keifer Thomas; all of her brothers, Eugene, Jim, Robert and Larry Thomas; sister June Thomas Vickers; and former husband Homer Harris. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Ernest E. Kitts, of Salisbury, sons John (Cathryn) Harris of Charleston, Danny (Toni) Harris of Scott Depot, Steve (Marla Smith) Harris of Cornelius, NC; and grandchildren Blair (Ryan Hagan) Harris of Alexandria, VA, Adam (Kayla) Harris of South Point, OH, and Leslie Harris of Charlotte, NC.
Pauline was a talented and accomplished artist and enjoyed multiple medias and styles. Her work has been displayed at Tamarack and at various venues in North Carolina and Florida. She was a former member of Allied Artist of Charleston and WV Water Color Society. Other hobbies included dancing and traveling across the county in their numerous RV’s. She was always a people person and loved sharing life with friends and family.
A celebration of Pauline’s life will be held at 7:00PM Monday, December 4 at Casdorph and Curry in St. Albans with Rev. Robert K. Spradling officiating. Gathering of family and friends will be immediately before from 5:00 until the time of the service. Private interment will be at Cunningham Memory Park in St. Albans on Tuesday morning.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to a charity or church of your choice.
