

Phillip "Phil" M. Fox, 68, of St. Albans, passed away June 12, 2015 with his family by his side. He was born July 15, 1946 in New Martinsville, the son of William F. and LaRoss Batson Fox. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Raymond F. Fox; nephew, Ryan P. Fox; and sister-in-law, Jeanna S. Fox. Phil retired from Union Carbide, Institute Plant after 35 years of service. He was past scout leader with Boy Scout Troop 75. Phil was a U.S. Army veteran of the 101st Airborne Division, serving during the Vietnam conflict. He was an avid woodworker, outdoorsman and loved gardening. A loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be missed by all. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Judith "Judy" J. Fox; daughter, Susan C. Fox and her partner, Candace A. Priddy, of Columbus, Ohio; son, P. Michael "Mike" Fox Jr. and his wife, Anita K., of St. Albans; grandchildren, D. "Alex" Crum of Columbus, Ohio, Caitlin M. Crum of Columbus, Ohio, and Phillip M. Fox III of St. Albans; and his faithful canine companion, Trixie. Celebration of Phil’s life will be 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, at Casdorph & Curry Funeral Home, St. Albans, with the Rev. Robert K. Haynes officiating. Gathering of family and friends will be from 6 p.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association, 1248 Greenbrier St., Charleston, WV 25311.
