Born October 4, 1929 in Danville, WV, her beloved parents were the late Commodore and Faye Harless. Phyllis’s passing is also preceded by her husband, William D. Ireland, Sr. and eldest son William D. Ireland II of St. Albans.
Phyllis graduated from East Bank High School in 1947 and settled in St. Albans after marriage. She spent many enjoyable years working in the Kanawha County Community Education Department until her retirement. She loved spending time with her family, traveling, and square-dancing, where she met her dear companion, Robert Adkins, of Charleston.
She is survived by son, Kevin Ireland and wife Jane, of Matthews, NC and sister, Thelma Pauley Crist of Marmet, WV, four grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren., and one nephew.
Funeral Service will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday, March 10, 2020 at Casdorph & Curry Funeral Home with her nephew Glenn Pauley officiating.
