

Raymond Jackson “Jack” Gill of St, Albans Born October 14, 1944 Died March 18, 2016 Son of Raymond Joseph Gill and Icie Irene (Cochran) Gill Survived by children Tracy Lynn Pawnee Leggins (husband Dwight) of South Dakota, Shane Michael Gill (wife Buffy) of Fraziers Bottom, WV and grandchildren Jessica White, Zakk Gill, Jake Young, Savanah Irene Gill, Charles Michael Gill, Jared Thomas Hurst, Justin Todd Gill and sister Bobbi Taylor (husband Allen) and Sister-in-law Judy Gill (wife of Danny Gill). Preceded in death by two sons, Warren Todd Gill & Raymond Jason Gill, grandson Chris Scott Benson, brother Daniel Lee Gill of Charleston, SC and both parents. Jack played football in high school, served his country in the US Army and restored Corvettes. He enjoyed sports and become a State Champion Weight Lifter. Jack loved playing music and was lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist in many bands including JC Transit. He performed at the first Jamboree in the Hills, at the Capital Music Hall, local venues and festivals as well as on the television show Star Search. Thank You to the many people who helped him during his life and in his last days. A Special Thank You to Thomas Memorial Hospital and the Hubbard Hospice House who took special care of him at the end of his life. Please join us as we celebrate his life on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, 1:00 p.m. at Casdorph & Curry Funeral Home, 110 B Street, St. Albans, WV 25177. There will be a gathering of family and friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, 130 Academy, Dunbar, WV 25064.
