Raymond L. McBride, age 80, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2026. He leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, hard work, generosity, and countless memories that will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him.
Raymond was a graduate of Charleston High School and attended Mississippi Bible College. His faith was an important part of his life, and he was a passionate advocate for Christian education. He helped establish Conquerors Christian School, where he served as Principal for many years. His dedication to Christian education touched many lives, and his influence will continue through the countless students and families who benefited from his commitment and service.
Raymond was also self-employed as a printer, a career that reflected his strong work ethic and determination. He was a hardworking man who believed in putting others before himself. He never needed much to make him happy, and he was always willing to give to someone else, even when he had very little to give himself. His generosity came naturally, and he found joy in helping others.
Those who knew Raymond will remember his wonderful sense of humor and his never-ending supply of jokes. He had a way of bringing laughter into a room and making people smile. He loved his family and friends deeply, and the simple things in life meant the most to him.
Above all, Raymond was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He married the love of his life, Barbara, and together they built a life and family filled with love.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Barbara; his children, Jennifer, Scott, and Susan; and his grandchildren, Logan and Abigail, who will forever cherish the love and memories they shared with him.
Raymond was preceded in death by his father, Raymond; his mother, Vera; his brothers, Darrell, Frank, and Richard; and his beloved granddaughter, Brianna.
Though he will be deeply missed by those who remain, he is now reunited with loved ones who went before him. His family finds comfort in the promise of eternal life and the hope of a joyful reunion in Heaven.
His children feel incredibly blessed to have had him as their father. They will forever treasure the lessons he taught them, the love he gave so freely, his sense of humor, and the example he set by always putting others first.
Raymond’s life was not measured by what he had, but by what he gave. He leaves behind a legacy of faith, kindness, generosity, and love that will continue through the lives of all those he touched.
His faith in the Lord was the foundation of his life, and the Christian values he stood for were evident in the way he lived, served, and loved others. While his family and friends will miss him more than words can express, they find comfort in knowing that this earthly goodbye is not forever.
Per Raymond’s request, there will be no funeral service. He wished to be remembered for the man he was and for the memories, laughter, love, and kindness he shared with those around him. He will later be laid to rest at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.
Today, we take comfort in God’s promise of eternal life and the assurance that, through faith in Jesus Christ, we will see him again. Raymond has finished his earthly race, and we trust that he has heard the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and grandfather, a faithful servant, and a blessing to so many. His earthly presence will be deeply missed, but his faith, his love, and his legacy will live on.
Until we meet again.
