Robert Lee “Bob” Sydenstricker, 79, of Scott Depot, passed away October 18, 2014 in Teays Valley CAMC. He was born August 1, 1935 in Charleston, a son of Dennis and Rachael Sydenstricker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Connie Sue Sydenstricker. He retired from Verizon (Formerly C & P) after 35 years where he was a budget supervisor. He attended Charleston Mountain Mission Church. Bob was an avid WVU Fan, camping in his RV, and the outdoors. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend that will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Wanda Jean Sydenstricker, daughter, Marybeth Shreves (Gary) of St. Albans, son, Gregory Scott, of Scott Depot, grandchildren, John Clark Shingleton of Charleston, Robert Thomas Shingleton, of Grafton, Justin James “J.J” Shreves, of St. Albans, Josh Shreves, of St. Albans, Misty Autumn Shreves, of Myrtle Beach, SC, and sisters, Jackie Neese, of Hurricane, Lewella Painter, of St. Albans, and Betty George, of St. Albans. Celebration of Bob’s life will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Casdorph & Curry Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes. Gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 at the funeral home
