She was born August 31, 1947 in Charleston, the daughter of Shirley and Dorothy Alexander Stone. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John, and siblings Terry Stone, Ronald Stone, and Rita Stone.
Sherry was a graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School and retired from DEP State of West Virginia. A loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend that will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her sons, John Grubb, and Jeff Grubb (Tammy), grandchildren Kelsey and Kristopher Grubb, special friend Larry Casdoprh, sisters Pat Hayden, Shirley O’Connor, Danny Stone, Dottie Merrill, and Donald Stone, several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Sherry’s life will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Tyler Mt. Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Toler officiating. Burial will take place in Tyler Mt. Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
Gathering of family and friends will be from 1 until time of service at the funeral home.
